Veterans Memorial Park As the Veterans Memorial Park progresses, we believe that Newtown Lodge No. 427 should play an active role as a leading member of the community and as a fraternal lodge that counts a multitude of veterans among its brothers. Future generations need to know and remember. It is proposed that our participation is accomplished in 3 succinct phases. First: Members are encouraged to consider independently purchasing items or pavers in support of the memorial. Please see the website or brochures for additional information http://www.lmt.org/vet_comm/VeteransSquare.pdf http://mysite.verizon.net/vzetzdvn/lmtmemorial/ Additionally, members are encouraged to spread the word about the LMT Veterans Square to family, friends, and businesses, as well as consider participation in upcoming events posted on these websites. Secondly: Brothers who are veterans who have lived in Lower Makefield or Yardley are eligible for a either a Memorial or Commemoration by having their names engraved at no charge on the top of the circular wall which surrounds and protects its citizens. Additionally, any Brother nonresident veteran is eligbale to purchase a special veteran brick paver. Please provide your name and information to the committee point of contacts, via email, telephone call, or lodge sign up sheet by 1/31. The committee would like to submit Newtown Lodge No. 427 veteran names in unison. Contact LMT Lodge Committee POC richard.s.washburn@comcast.net Thirdly: Lodge 427 would like to submit a separate paid for memorial from the Lodge. Donations will be requested, details of which will be forthcoming. The LMT Memorial has raised over $85,000 to date. Get your names on the engraving plate now. Brothers who are veterans, thank you for your service. Let us help you get your names on the engraving plate now. Please do not hesitate.................................LEST WE FORGET.

One-Man-One-Can Campaign
Ongoing Brothers, we have joined forces with the Bucks County Housing Group to help take a bite out of hunger in our area. We ask that every time you come to the Lodge for any function, grab a can of food when you are leaving your house and drop it in the marked boxes located in the Lodge. Let's get in the habit of giving when we have Lodge functions. Here is a list of the most needed food items that are good to donate: peanut butter, tuna, soup, pasta sauce, canned meat, canned fruit, and baby food.
